President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed into law Republic Act 11085 on September 28, 2018, upgrading the Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center Extension Hospital in the Municipality of Talavera, Province of Nueva Ecija into a Level II Hospital to be now known as the Talavera General Hospital, and increasing the bed capacity from from fifty (50) to one hundred (100) beds.
